A barred owl looks down from his high perch on a February day
A line of cars stopped on the roadside. We looked up and joined the party, in wonder.
The others had fancier cameras, longer lenses, but I took a chance.
Then he turned and turned, looking well over his shoulder and down
into my eyes, my lens.
A paparazzi moment, owl style.
