Beetle Gallery (Mother’s Day)

Trails left behind by mother beetles and their larvae
A seemingly strange Mother’s Day post, but when I researched what this was, I learned that these etchings in the trunk of a dead tree are made by “Mama Beetles” and their “larvae babies”.
In order to survive and propagate, life takes from life, and what’s left behind can be both beautiful and strange.
In this case, they even have a name that suggests art: ‘beetle galleries.’
