An Eastern Tailed-blue Butterfly perched on the edge of a dried leaf in the forest
There it was: an Eastern Tailed-blue butterfly.
Small, quick, and shy.
A flash of blue easily missed.

2026:

An early spring butterfly on a tree
This guy was trying his best to avoid being seen, to blend in.
But he couldn’t shake off his shadow.
