Someone painted a pretty pattern on a rock, only to leave it in a forest,
a creative addendum to a natural landscape.
They call it “trail magic,” to bring joy to fellow humans who discover them.

An abandoned dock on a misty morning
We often leave traces
telling of our passage through,
bookmarks on the landscape
