Tessellation

January 3

When freezing rain lands on the tip of a cedar tree branch and creates a tessellated pattern in ice
Tessellation is a tiling pattern, one of many visible regularities we see in the natural world.
I never saw this before, until I looked as closely as my eyes (and camera lens) allowed.
And then I was amazed. How have I missed it all this time?
What else is visible but beyond day-to-day notice?
