An Osprey soaring mid-flight
The juvenile orange eyes, that span of barred feathers, the hook-like beak.
We see all of that but rarely consider the toes.
Tucked and ready, he has reversible outer toes for grabbing live fish.
All so gorgeous. All so more-than-human.
