2025:

Looking up at a tree that split as it grew
When we’re children, we draw trees straight and tall — no bumps, no twists, no lumps.
Growing older, we learn how beautiful those abnormalities can be
and the stories they whisper in the wind.

2026:

A centuries-old eucalyptus tree (Sydney, May 2023)
So many twists and turns in one singular life.
If only she could talk.
