Snack in a Beak

2025:

A blue jay holding a peanut in his beak.
In the middle of a desolate park, destroyed by the ice storm,
he still managed to find his favourite food: a peanut.
Life goes on.

2026:

A Baltimore oriole dips into a hummingbird feeder
Does it matter who’s supposed to feed here?
This oriole doesn’t care.
Food is food.
