Amidst the Wreckage

A single trillium grows straight and tall in the middle of ice storm debris
No matter how dense the wreckage, the sun’s warmth touches the earth.
And then a singular trillium presses upward, straight and strong.
They’re legally protected because they’re so easily endangered. And yet…
A testament to fragile resilience.
