Dragon Flying

In the height of mosquito season, these guys are my heroes! I’ve often wished I could keep one with me as I walk through parks and forests, almost like a pet but more like a guardian.
As a little girl, I was taught to fear them: they could sew your ears and lips shut. A nasty bit of folklore!
I much prefer the Indigenous view of them as representing purity, transformation, healing.
Honestly, how can anyone see such beauty and think of them any other way?
